Socom Combined Assault ONLINE MAPS (pics inside)

http://ps2.ign.com/articles/737/737172p1.html

**RATOR.. LOOKS LIKE U GOT YOUR WORK CUT OUT FOR U IF UR GONNA ILLUSTRATE THESE :) **

October 4, 2006 - Zipper Interactive's latest (and likely last) PlayStation 2 effort in its tactical shooter franchise is nearly upon us. SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Combined Assault expands upon the technical feats of SOCOM 3 with a brand-new campaign and a slew of new online functionality, including four-player online co-op.

Combined Assault is backwards compatible with SOCOM 3, meaning that you can jump into a SOCOM 3 server and play against gamers with the last game. In addition to this however, Combined Assault ships with 10 exclusive multiplayer maps, which we're going to run through below with a shot from the map and a brief description. Take a look.

Summit

"Summit" is set on a snowy mountainside which hides a vast cave complex overlooking a small village. It is playable with up to 32 players in Suppression, Demolition, Extraction, Breach, and Control game types in a daytime setting. Additionally, smaller versions of the Suppression and Demolition game types are also available supporting up to 16 players.

Copperhead

"Copperhead" is set near a lake nestled near the edge of an alpine forest. The remnants of an abandoned logging company can be seen scattered around the shoreline. It is playable with up to 32 players in Suppression, Demolition, Convoy, Escort, and Control game types in a nighttime setting. Additionally, smaller versions of the Suppression and Demolition game types are also available supporting up to 16 players.

Threshold

"Threshold" is set near an ex-Soviet chemical weapons storage facility located on a rocky island chain. A loading dock provides access to the buildings which lead to an underground storage facility. It is playable with up to 32 players in Suppression, Demolition, Extraction, Convoy, Escort, and Control game types in a daytime setting. Additionally, smaller versions of the Suppression, Extraction, and Demolition game types are also available supporting up to 16 players.

Retaliation

"Retaliation" is set within a small village that is divided by a river. Two bridges join the city together and a dirt road connects the village to a bombed-out airstrip. It is playable with up to 32 players in Demolition, Extraction, Suppression, Convoy, Control, and Escort game types in a daytime setting. Additionally, smaller versions of the Suppression and Demolition game types are also available supporting up to 16 players.

Boot Camp

"Boot Camp" is set within a well-fortified base of operations in the midst of rugged, forested terrain. Guard towers inside the camp and at the main bridge overlook the roadways. It is playable with up to 32 players in Demolition, Extraction, Suppression, Breach, Convoy, Control, and Escort game types in a daytime setting.

Anchorage

"Anchorage" is set within an ex-Soviet industrial wharf with vast warehouses littered with shipping containers. An abandoned cargo freighter is docked at the south end of the wharf. It is playable with up to 32 players in Control, Demolition, Extraction, and Suppression game types in a daytime setting. Additionally, smaller versions of the Suppression and Demolition game types are also available supporting up to 16 players.

Echelon

"Echelon" is set around a dilapidated sports stadium situated near a converted factory and connected to rundown parking garage. A makeshift encampment has been built inside the stadium. It is playable with up to 32 players in Suppression, Demolition, Extraction, Control, and Breach game types in a daytime setting. Additionally, a smaller version of the Suppression game type is also available supporting up to 16 players.

Aftershock

"Aftershock" is set within a city block near the outskirts of the capital. Streets, alleys, and sewers form many routes throughout the city. It is playable with up to 32 players in Suppression, Demolition, Control and Extraction game types in a nighttime setting.

Siphon

"Siphon" is set around an oil pumping and refinery station nestled in the frozen tundra. Numerous catwalks and overpasses connect the many buildings to one another. It is playable with up to 32 players in Suppression, Demolition, Control, Extraction, and Breach game types in a nighttime setting.

Prowler

"Prowler" is set within a rural mountainous region with a bridge spanning a large frozen lake. Ruins and damaged houses scatter the landscape. It is playable with up to 32 players in Suppression, Demolition, Control, and Convoy Game Types in a daytime setting.

I didn't know you posted this already. I posted it in the Games section.

I cannot wait for this. Only 4 more weeks cant wait. Getting back from my honeymoon and picking up Combined Assault. Priceless.

These maps look gorgeous. I was thinking about how the snipers would roll on the map retaliation. WOW. Major communication needed on that one.

It'll be interesting to see just how many maps there are going to be available for this game. Remember, we will still be able to play the S3 maps also and whatever maps they eventually release with the map packs.

You cant go wrong with this one.. I mean its 2 games in one

thats at least 22 Standard Online maps

+ Map pack 1 (3 maps)
+ Map Pack 2 (4 maps)

Which = 28 Total Online maps so far!!

Thats badass!!!

lol contrary to popular beliefs, we are not a sniper only or sniper specific clan. The name is something like Devil Dogs or HellFish or WolfHounds etc.
