MAG details

While I applaud their efforts, I think MW2 will be pretty tough competition for any tactical FPS coming out in 2009/2010. COD4 left a lot of other shooters in the dust when it came out (Rainbow series, GRAW, Halo, Socom, etc.).

I agree and disagree with you shooter. Mw2 will take away a lot of buyers for any get for that matter but from what it looks like MAG looks like something a little more than a shooter... That's just me though.

and MAG has been delayed Shooter, it isn't coming until 2010 now

MAG is a shooter like Battlefield is a shooter. Vehicles, classes, commanders etc. I imagine its going to be very similar.

As for MW2, i've heard that movies AND games tanked due to COD4's release and that several games have already or are going to push back the release of their games because of MW2.

this is true, I always see delays on kotaku and the cite "the strong lineup of fall games" but we all know its because of MW2

lots of problems going on, errors DLing the game...almost nobody finished DLing it tonight

they also have times at which you can play which means I can only play for at max 2 hours a day... because like most people....I WORK

To me MAG has the potential to be a great Battlefield game with larger maps and more players. Everything about MAG seems to be copied from Battlefield and that is not a bad thing. Will they be able to execute it correctly is the question.

256 is a lot of freaking players. How will they handle this on the server end? Not sure, but it won't be easy.

In concept is sounds like it will work, but how much coordination will it take for the experience to feel like an actual war/battle? I assume many people would be running around like a bunch of Rambo's, so it would be great to see if Clans will partner up as different squads and work together for some great tactics.

I will wait and see how it turns out. Right now I can only hope it's everything it can be, but don't feel to strongly about their ability to deliver on it.

I'm having trouble downloading my beta (the updates), keep getting a server error or something like that, it starts the download and gets so far and then the error pops up :( sucks lol. I got to about 25% downloaded so far and it reset
