Infamous
For those of you who have not already read most of the reviews, Infamous is a great game. I enjoy the diversity of the missions and the great controls.
The game is so much better when you play as an Evil character. Why? Because you don't have to worry about casualties and can unleash your powers for maximum damage. As a Good Character, you always have to be careful not to hurt innocent people. Well, that sucks. It's better to destroy everything and everyone in your way. Here is what I did not like about the game. No replay value..... Once you beat the game you are able to run around the city and finish up any missions you may have missed, but once you are 100% done with the missions, there is no reason to roam around the city. Just when your powers have reached their maximum potential, they let you loose in a huge city with no enemies to kill. Sure you can run around and hurt the innocent people, but that is no fun. No challenge at all. Infamous could have been so much better if they would simply populate the city with enemies after you are 100% complete with the missions. At the very least, they could have had a free roam mode where you can select how many bad guys you want and some other options to make this large sandbox a place to visit again and again. They did not do this and I think they choked. It would not take much to give this game some major replay value, but they did not. GTAIV is great because there are always cops that you can get in fights with, long after you finished the game. Infamous missed the mark on this and it's too bad. If you have a friend that has the game. Borrow it and finish it as a Good and Evil player, then return it. I hate spending $60 on a game with little replay value. My $.02 |

Nice, yea i heard it was good.
I'm gonna ask you questions, and every time you don't give me answers, I'm gonna cut something off. And I promise you... they will be things you will miss! |

Infamous was well done and I look forward to a Sequel. I can only hope they fix the replay model on this. It would have been so freaking easy to just dump enemies into the world for some fun.
I am still running around looking for all the Shards. I think I have 93% of the Trophies and I have never gotten that high on any game. :-) |
