lol nice! I need to play the hell out of gears 2 tonight and tomorrow while the 8xp is going on, I need to make it to at least rank 50

ok folks anyone that has a twitter account follow http://twitter.com/GearsViking he is going to divide his followers by 500 to get the next amount of XP for the next event so far he has over 5k followers so right now it stands to be 10x XP !! WOOOO

We got a 20x EXP event on the waaayyyy!!!!!!!!!
Event Info:Date: this event will run from July 22nd 12:30 EDT PM, and til July 25th 9:00 EDT AM EXP Multiplier: 20x the original EXP amount. Other info: We are also getting a change to Horde, but we are not sure on what it is yet. If you don't stand behind our troops. Please feel free to stand in front of them... I am going to get this and Gears 1 in the next week. I have been wanting to play this series for some time....now I can afford too. (found both together for under $25 through amazon.com. They are in my shopping cart. Heh)

I don't really plan on playing multiplayer much, if at all. I will reserve that for Gears3. So I probably will not dish out the extra $10 or so to get the goty.

Regular I could get for about $15 and GOTY was $10 more from what I could see. I will look more deeply when I am ready to buy. If I can I will get GOTY but I don't see the point in paying extra for the maps/DLC when I don't really plan to use them much if I even use them at all. What I want is the single player so I can go through the story line and what not. Kinda for gearing up for Gears3.
