American Soldier - Queensryche

I've been a Queensryche fan for years when a friend of mine in highschool transferred from Seattle, WA to Antioch, IL and introduced me to their independent release.

Their latest album came out last March (2009), and how I missed it I have no idea. The songs are written from the perspective of the soldiers from World War II up to and including the Iraq war who were interviewed for the sole purpose of this concept album. The album is along the same lines as Operation: Mindcrime and Empire. If you liked either or both of those albums, you're going to really enjoy American Soldier in my opinion.

I'm a big fan of Mindcrime. No idea why I never bought any of their other albums. Thanks for the heads up Grifter. I'll have to grab this.

Home Again is an amazing song - Geoff Tate has his daughter singing on it with him. It's quite touching. Show, I think you'll appreciate it.

The rest of the songs are great. Classic Ryche all the way through. This is definitely what they're best at, hands down.
