Double XP Weekend: Call Of Duty Black Ops


Yup, it’s here again, another Double XP Weekend for Call Of Duty Black Ops on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. I know what many of you are thinking, time for a prestige run. Yeah!

To celebrate Escalation’s release, we’re running a Double XP Weekend for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii, starting Friday the 10th at 10am PDT and lasting through Monday the 13th at 10am PDT. Now get out there and fight!

Wait there’s more, there will also be available The Nuketown 24/7 playlist. For those who are unfamiliar, it’s basically one map, Nuketown, over and over.

sweet! I'll play some nuketown for a bit but there is no way I could play it for more than 3 or 4 times in a row I think lol

Annihilation Pack set to release for 6-28 on the 360 first. 4 MP maps & 1 zombie map. Doesn't say price, but based off the last dlc releases, you can figure on 1200 msp ($15)

# • Security Updates.
# • New playlists – Flags and Bombs
# • C4 can no longer be warped to player carrying bomb in S&D and Sabotage.
# • Removed erroneous “Reset to Default” message when trying to load a DLC map you do not have.
# • In-game icons (care package icons, etc) no longer appear in the Create A Class menu.
# • Support for Annihilation map pack, available June 28th on Xbox LIVE!
# • Fix for a rare crash related to weapons.
# • Game no longer crashes when Xbox LIVE servers are down.
# • Additional weapon balancing.
# • Ninja Pro Perk no longer makes sounds when mantling or diving to prone.

The playlist changes are for HC only it seems.
So for the playlists they have grouped CTF and Domination together...with HQ?!?!?! There are no flags in HQ. You can not longer play Hardcore CTF anymore....yay....

Also they grouped Demolition, S&D, and Sabotage together. So you you can't just play any one of those any more with the exception of S&D. That one is also in a playlist of it's own....for now.


Why? I just don't understand the motivation for doing this. It's like they want to force us to play game modes that we do not like the same way they force us to play maps we don't like.

The big plus to this, and it is a very BIG plus, is that second chance is NOT available for these playlists. YAY! Kinda takes the sting away.
