My 2 cents, it's not a brand new game like COD4 was. Don't forget the big shake up where they lost half of their company too. Kinda hard to make a brand new game from scratch when half the guys you've done it with for 9 years are gone.

IW started the phenomenon/juggernaut that is COD. You've all played their games and loved the shit out of them in one way or another or you wouldn't be reading this cause you wouldn't have bought the next version of it and reading COD clan's forums lol.

I think you are confused there. Obviously you are registering the death streak "last chance" as the same as the Perk of "Last stand". They were both in MW2 and 402 said they were removing the perk "last stand" from MW3. They followed through. Death streaks are far from perks.

If I had my way Kill Streaks would go "POOF!" and be gone. And only death streaks would remain. Helping noob players out a little bit after they get repeatedly owned is not a bad thing. Helping good or (usually) moderate players out just does not make much sense to me. If some guy is going 7-0 then does he really need more help? No he is going 7-0....

The whole idea that you can go 7-0 (or whatever kills streak and zero) then you can call in some AI support and then go make a sandwich or get a soda and by the time you come back you magically have 3-5 more kills or so is just rather silly to me. But I guess it is a reward system for those who are doing well in the game. Winning is not enough of a reward anymore. Now you have to win and have extra time to make a sandwich.

I do not think that kills made by AI players should count towards any other human players KDR, or even show up in that players stats at all.

Midnight, yes you are right...they DID remove that Perk. But it’s just a play on words. It’s STILL in the game!! It’s just remained and it takes you a bit longer to get it....

And Viper...I have to say, you’ve made some good points. It is a bit frustrating to see an old game just reskined. But it is what it is....I’m still playing it, and I’m still finding some enjoyment out of it...

It's still in the game and annoying but at least you have to die like 3-4 times straight before you can use it.

The game is definitely playable (at the moment) and fun but when you spawn and die in less than 5 seconds, something is wrong. I tried this last night when I made a fast class with a sub, I just ran to the enemy side non-stop. Eventually, I found myself standing in the middle of their spawn zone and just watched as they magically appeared 5-10 feet away. I dropped 4 or 5 guys before they figured out what as going on.

well after trawling the COD forums this morning from like 2am till 5am i found some interesting information that IW penalize ppl like me with a decent connection :(

I pay my ISP around £50 a month for my 100mb+ connection and guess what?

IW idea of making the game fair is to drop my connection to the same as the person with the lowest connection to help the other players... how is this fair? i Rightfully pay for the game at £40 and pay for my connection at £50 a month and this is what i get... a penalty for been a better off person than a person with a asda/wallmart connection. Why thanks a bunch IW i just love you! -.-

Anyhow enough is enough with it the game is now on Ebay for some other person to be mugged by IW :)

Patch v1.03

We already discussed how further DLC for Modern Warfare 3 might contain a rehash of older maps, which for some believe that it is an easy way to make money. There is no timescale for how long we will have to wait for the first DLC, but we won’t have to wait long for MW3 patch v1.03. We are being told that this patch fixes the matchmaking issue found on the Xbox 360 and the PS3.
Don’t worry about missing out on valuable game time, as the file size is just 4MB, which will be downloaded in an instant. For those of you who received out of memory 14 errors on the PlayStation, then once you have installed this patch that message will no longer appear.
Those with an Xbox 360 will also be pleased that not only is there a fix for matchmaking, but also for the video uploads when running the game on an SD TV – not too sure how many of them are around these days?
Gamepur did learn from the developer that if you have issues joining a match with your friends following patch v1.03, then it would be down to the patch itself, as they need to have it installed as well. The best thing to do is make certain that you all have the new patch running before you try matchmake together.

Mmmmmm...I’m not 100% convinced it’s fixed.
