I see non-stop complaints about the Ghost perk on the Activision forums. They are misled complaints based on embarrassment rather than anything real. They claim that "everyone" camps in a corner with Ghost and a Famas..... And that is the only reason use ghost...to hide...

So I guess this is proof that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. So they figure that if they remove Ghost then the games will have a faster pace. They really want to force people to sprint meaninglessly around the map.

Also that is just for the one "Express" playlist in Core Mode. They also limit it to the smaller of the maps. It's all about quick arcade style game play. Nothing tactical just for the twitch shooters.

On the plus side they did give us back our HC CTF in the playlists.
Also they said they made "improvements to the spawn system". So less Spawn camping, or more? We shall see.

Haha camping? I played the other day and these 3 guys were camping a builiding. They were getting mad at me for not helping lol. I told them it was too boring, that, and I'm 17 and 2 lol. Anyways, that's why I use Ghost, so I can run aroun and NOT have to hide. Mostly when there are killstreaks up, which is most of the time.

Yep, me myself, if I didn't have ghost to hide from choppers, I wouldn't play. However, I AM a camper, but I'll never give up my ghost, cold blooded, whatever it is named in each game...

ghost is kinda broken. they should worry about fixing the aim bot shit before fixing ghost..and it doesnt seem like they are banning ghost...they are just giving people who dont like that and second(pussy)chance a way to play without it.

I like Ghost. I prefer the MW2 version however.

Edit: I could really disappear in MW2. But, I guess choppers still see through Ghost in BO. Am I right?

That is exactly it right there.

If they want to speed up the pace and encourage you to not camp then they need to remove killstreaks. Or at least the killstreaks that force you to camp. Like all the non-bombing aircraft and dogs. That's pretty much it.

This times >9000. CoD4 was fine, but the killstreaks are what completely ruined the game imho. You have people sitting still and not working with their team and they're getting rewarded heavily for it.

I think it's their way of balancing. The game IS fast on foot, so they figure maybe to slow it down and get people to camp, reward them. Kinda makes sense, but may be better ways to do it.

I paid my $ for the game, don't tell me that I can't camp if that's what I feel like doing...

I am really trying to see how it is possible to see things that way. I tend to lean towards --> Camping is not a factor in this.

The things that make it hard are this:

The team that is stomping the other team is the one getting the killstreaks. That is not balance so much as imbalance. So not only is the losing team losing but now when they are trying to regroup to catch up in the game they get bullets and bombs raining down on them. So now again they are forcefully disorganized by the winning team who is now winning even better than before. So the losing team respawns again and tries to regain control for a come back only to be met with yet another wave of killstreaks.

The theme here is that the killstreaks get progressively worse and worse and more effective. It is not rare at all to see games being "won" in the first few seconds of the game. That is to say that the first team to work up enough players with killstreaks is the team that will most likely end up winning. I rarely see "come-backs" in any COD game. It happens yes. But not nearly as often as not. I believe that killstreaks are 100% to blame for this.

If they scrap the killstreaks I won't shed a tear. I prefer to kill my enemy anyway rather than let 50% or more of my total kills be attributed to AI help.


Now death-streaks....I see that as balance.
