Call of Duty Elite

Time to get it's own thread.

Congratulations on being one of the 200 selected for a guaranteed slot in Activision’s Call of Duty Elite beta. We’ll be sending your registration information over to Activision tomorrow and they will follow up with you directly.
I'm in. So I should be getting some good info to post for ya'll.

Link with everything you need to know about COD:Elite condensed in one spot: http://oneofswords.com/2011/06/what-...of-duty-elite/

This is for DG from the above link:

Isn’t this just Bungie.net for Call of Duty?
No, although you have probably spotted some similarities — for instance, Bungie also offered its players post-game stats and heat maps free of charge. However, Elite is going a lot deeper and is integrating the data in a different way, and that might not be clear until you get to try it for yourself. An official Activision quote from the FAQ: “Elite ups the ante of any free service by offering a range of innovations on well-established multiplayer features, such as leaderboards, heat maps, and rich player data.” This, arguably, is at least what Bungie.net offers, and depending on how it’s integrated, Elite might offer even more, still for free. But for sure, nobody on the Elite team is saying they invented heat maps or player stat tracking. Good ideas tend to pop up more than once…because they work and people like them. As long as what you enjoyed from Bungie for free is free in Elite as well — and really, it looks like it is — I don’t see this as a bad thing.

I would have to agree. However it is well known that we are not seeing the whole package. For example all DLC is supposed to be covered in the price of the pay-section of Elite. When you consider 4 DLC packs at $15 each that is $60. So it all depends on the things that we do not yet know. Like....how much will it be? And what else will be offered.

I have not seen anything yet that states that what we are currently beta testing is all that we will be in the final version.

Also I made this thread BEFORE I saw and agreed to the NDA for the Beta. So I was planning on using this to tell you guys what is in it. But as everyone knows we the Sea Snipers take our NDA's very seriously. So NO I will not be able to discuss any of my experiences. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.

im sure it will be around 10 bucks a month for it and unless they pump out new maps every 2 months or so it wont be worth it.

They don't register a death when you team kill them. LOL

Maybe it was a split screener so it looked like the same guy but was the split screener?

They just renounced the NDA for Elite (it's on the upper banner with a link to here)....we can freely talk about it. I guess they were waiting on Justin and I to get signed up!!

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up Chief. I made a video outlining the basic layout of the elite web site. I may upload that now for folks to view.

Edit/Add: For those who need proof and the first pic of the service that I share with all:
