The way I understand and read. If you purchase something from iTunes...it's there forever. So that's good. As far as pics...I have an external hard drive that I use for pics with a back-up using my TimeCapsule. So I'm sure it's for streaming over AppleTV...however I have MobileMe...which will be going away. On that, they have Gallery which I can store all my stuff.
