I will think about buying it AFTER the reveal what it is going to be. For all you know Show you bought a MW3 themed poker game.

Damn, that looks good. I like the total chaos thing, not sure about just the "one guy" thing though.

I found this article interesting:

And honestly, I did not know this stuff...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will run at 60 frames per second, as has been the case with all CoD games on current-gen consoles since (and including) Call of Duty 2, Infinity Ward's creative strategist Robert Bowling has revealed.

"Absolutely, locked at 60 Frames Per Second. That is a core design principle for us and especially for #MW3," Tweeted Bowling.

60fps is one of Call of Duty's big selling points, with the high frame rate making the games smoother and more responsive than other titles that run at a more standard 30 frames per second.

Anyone who plays Call of Duty online will know how strange it feels to switch to another FPS that doesn't run at 60fps - alternating between CoD: Black Ops and Halo: Reach is a great example. On another note, we very much doubt EA and DICE's Battlefield 3 will run at 60fps on consoles.

yeah Chief, but BF3 is a PC game, so really, who cares how it runs on console...the console version will be stripped back anyways.

as for the trailer...looks pretty, for 2006, I cant believe they still havent upgraded that engine.

I may rent this for the single player, but I have a feeling the MP is gonna be the exact same thing we have been playing for 4 years now.

Ill file this in the renting bin

Chief when we were at IW playing multiplayer, there was a meter on the side of the screen reading out how many fps.

Tagger 05-24-2011 01:35 PM

How do FPS impact my experience? When I'm playing BF3 and if everyone I'm playing with is operating in the same environment as me, will I know that my game isn't running at CoD's 60 FPS?

yeah when you play on dev kits or test kits, you usually run a debug build of the game which you can turn on all types of info to be displayed while running it.

[SS]Wally 05-24-2011 01:42 PM

yep, we had very cool options at our fingertips

[SS]Midnight 05-24-2011 03:26 PM

Here is a 30FPS vs 60FPS comparison to help you guys understand the difference.
