Wow. That dinky car has like a built-in roll cage.

70 mph into a brick wall and it looked like a very survivable collision.

Yes, but they are sold through specialty dealers. I think they are $25K or so.

We don't have many.

I don't think you would survive that crash, and if you did you would be in a world of pain. Remember its not just the you hitting the hard concrete object, its also your head smacking off the windows and other near objects, which in the Smart car is everything.

Oh and Chenzo I was just saying if you own a smart car and you get into an accident you may not feel very smart.

No one is ever happy about getting into a crash.


That crash test was amazing. It did look survivable. As far as hitting things in the car...I did see an airbag. Softer to hit than a windshield, steering wheel, or anything else.

I actually have one of those as a resident in my one cow town. Not sure who owns it but I see it at the post office and grocery store often.
