Well Dat n I still own the SIAS record, for now anyway, lol. I think if Sab 100% it, it would have been beat, like 800 points off. One of my problems is that I alway upstrum only and I cant hold long multiple notes, like 30 greens in a row in Sandman. Those dam thing get me, I just cant grasp a steady beat along with it. Freaking ITIP, I still cant 100% that on lead, its always something somewhere in that song that screws me up.

not bat at all. Hey, you said you had a prob with the whole thing sliding before, right? Why not just extend the platform to another piece that will go under your seat? That way its all on 1 thing. Granted it will be pretty damn big, but maybe you can add another piece and put 2-3 hinges on it so it will fold up when not in use?

As for your pads, I wonder if there is any difference from the neoprene ones you have and the gum pads listed in that link you had up.

Yea, they look cool especially seeing as how they match your mock bass drum. I'm just kinda wondering if its worth it. IDC about noise really as much as Id rather have a set that works correctly.

Bass they both work extremely well it just really matters on look. I currently have the sock mod on my set and it works perfectly ok, buy I would rather have Chenzo's mod because it looks 10x better. It all depends on money, if you're willing to buy the pads do it but if you are cheap like me or don't have money to spend like me just go with the sock mod, they're practically the same thing.

I dont see how a stand is going to crack plywood, unless its super thin. I think 3/8 would be plenty, thats your common subflooring you'll find to ( I think ) maybe its 5/8, idk, anyway, added to that, you're already on a floor so I doubt you'll crack the plywood. All you'd be doing is connecting a piece from the throne to the drum bass so its basically all 1 unit and there you go, no more sliding.

After I saw yours, I was thinking about something like that too, but made from pine or the stuff they make sub boxes from. Tweeter could prolly do it then finish it with a nice carpeted look or even a fiberglass finish if thats your fancy. I think a carpeted base would be around $100 for them to do it though, kinda expensive, but they do pretty good work for boxes n shit like that for custom car audio.

Yea, I'm not talking about drilling nails through the floor though, lol.

I just tried the socks, and all I can say it WOW. Even on a POS QM set, I can hammer the shit out of the red pad and it will now register EVERY hit. Out all of things, socks, lol. Anyway, now that I know it works and so I dont waste all my socks, lol, I think I will go with the pads at some point so its a greater area to hit rather then like only 1/2 of the pad in case I miss the sock slightly.

The only concern I have with the pads is if something happens to the drums and I have to send them back, can I take them right back off w/o a problem and keep them in tact so I can put them on the new set.

Along with a slew of other updates, the latest patch for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version of Rock Band includes a new in-game music store. The music store will let you preview and purchase songs from inside the game by selecting the option from the main menu.

The store lets you sort all of the games' music by a selection of categories, view original album art for the masters recordings, listen to song previews and check out some extended information about specific songs, like the difficulty rating for each instrument.

We had a chance to check it out in Harmonix suite during the Game Developers Conference earlier this year and were pretty impressed. The menu allowed you to sort by artist, song, genre, album, pack and the difficulty of the song.

Selecting the Music Store from the main menu brings you to a slick interface that allows you to quickly look at new releases, a list of songs available for purchase, song packs and, eventually, entire albums for sale. The front page of the Rock Band Store will also include a sizable box that can show off cover art for the latest album, pack or song and an place where Harmonix can add a message to gamers.

Hopping into the list of songs, gamers can quickly sort by a number of options. When a song is selected on the list, located on the right side of the screen, box art for the music swings down on the left side. It can also show the album name, genre, year it was released and other information.

Hopping into an actual song will bring up an option to preview a snippet of the music as well as a break down of the song's difficulty for each instrument. It will also include a listing of which DLC pack the song is part of.

When Mark and I checked it out at GDC we were very impressed with what we saw, the store will not only help gamers sort through what is increasingly becoming an unmanageable selection of songs, it also looked really damn neat.

The free update for the game, set to hit Xbox Live and the Playstation Network this week, will include the music store as well as quite a few tweaks.


Music Store: The store will allow you to preview and purchase new songs from within the game, viewing and previewing songs as well as difficulty ratings for each instrument.

Revised Fan Caps: The number of fans a player can earn in easy, medium and hard settings have been increased to let players progress further in the Band World Tour.

More diverse songs in Band World Tour: Harmonix has fixed a bug that caused the same songs to pop up multiple times in teh same our of Band World Tour play.

Improved phoneme recognition: The detection and scoring for phoneme recognition has been tweaked.

Microphone Latency on PlayStation 3 improved: The microphone latency on the PS3 has been optimized.

Xbox 360 Band Logos are now visible through Xbox LIVE: A problem with parental controls was blocking them, now custom band logos are visible.

Faster loading of downloadable content: Load times have been sped up and DLC is now cached.

I officially have no life, I just spent 5 hours of my life including a 45 min lunch break going through the endless set list. I did it but damn it is deffinately not worth it, at least for me because I only got the vinal achievment. There was no way I was going to be able to sing all of the songs on hard so I went to Medium and played Bass on Expert. My advice to anyone, don't do the enless setlist unless you are planning on playing expert on all instruments. But hey I closed out the city that the endless setlist is in so I guess I got that out of the way and I didn't get any fans for it because I was playing Medium but I could only imagine how many I would have gotten if I were to play Hard because I got $25,000 payoff and usually you only get hundreds.
