I have my settings for -5 Hours GMT and my times of the posts are still off. Anyone else having a problem or is the whole forum set up with a different time?

I never noticed it til this thread. I live in Oregon and had mine set for Los Angeles, Seattle. It was off by 5 hours. I just changed my time offset or whatever its called to Brazil, Buenes Aires and it's right on now.

Keep experimenting with your time settings. Mine is usually -6 but I have it set to -2 I think.

i think the defualted everything to -5 already.. so stay with GMT at 0 if you ae on the easy coast.. and so on.. West coast should be GMT -3 instead of GMT -8

Like Deadeye said, play around with it. I set It at 0 and then subracted the difference which was -2GMT.

Actually, for some reason I just had to adjust mine to +3.

If I live in -5 GMT time, my options are set to that. I will not adjust my settings to some third-world nation just so I can see my posts properly timed. Fix it from the source!!

Hahaha Ark, .... I'm the same way. I just leave mine alone. As soon as I change it, then the forums will be fixed right, then my time will be off again.

Exactly....I'm sticking to this and hoping Rator will do something about it.

I could fix just about anything, esp. some little clock setting if I wanted to. I just thought Mr. Perfection himself would want the times set correctly on the almighty SS forums. I mean, it really gives the administrator a bad name when he doesn't have everything in tip-top shape. That's why I sent him a PM asking him about it. I didn't want to draw attention to it and make anyone look bad! I was just TRYING to help...you stubborn men!

Lol, screw all you guys! I can set the time to anything i want. you guys tell me what to set it to and ill do it. Thing is, everyone will have to set their personal times in their options anyway , so, does it really matter what i set it to? I set my time so its right.
Let me know.

Rator.. EST is -5 GMT. GMT (ex London time).. and we are 5 hours behind them. Perhaps if you just set the forums time to GMT as a defualt.. then everyone can set it as normal.. ie (est is -5 GMT, pst is -8 GMT) etc..
