SOCOM 3, will they start Charging$$$?

I heard this through the rumor mill that in SOCOM 3 they will be a $10US per month fee. Not sure if this is true, can anybody verify?

i haven't herd anything as of yet but i use to pay 10 bucks a month for everquest and i never saw any lag and there was thousands of peeps on. Plus it was both dial up and broadband i would pay 10 bucks again and hope others moms and dads wont so alot of the kids go away

I would only pay if they would actually give us what they promised. New maps, new weapons, new characters, no lag(or very little at least), also the feature to band people from our rooms would be cool.

Its everything they promised for SOCOM II but never delivered. Those mpas we got in the magazine where not downloadable. They said we would be able to download free new maps.

don't know if I'm too late to answer this

but they'll definitely not charge monthly fees.

if you notice those online games costing money is because they are RPG games. RPG is never ending level gaining. There's multiple skills, infinite money to earn, and your character can only get stronger. Highly addictive in other words and people do pay to play these games...like final fantasy.

I doubt socom has an RPG version where you can cast spells and learn how to make soups.

but yeah only RPG games cost money...you'll also notice that for PC games.

PC - Counterstrike (Action) = no fee
PC - War Craft (RPG) = monthly fee
PC - Battlefield 1942 (Action) = no fee
PS2 - Socom 1 and 2 (Action) = no fee
PS2 - Final Fantasy (RPG) = fee
PS2 - Everquest (RPG) = fee

yeah here in utah xbox is bigger than ps2 and everytime someone asks what system i have and i answer, they say "ps2 sucks"

and I always say "I don't have to pay to play online games, ps2 has more game choices, they never had to offer free chords because the original screwed up like xbox power cord did, and the controller isn't retarded"
