Yeah, I know GB, played alongside some of them in the [ENG]A setup. They a laugh and are extremely good at SOCOM.

I think i may look into buying an import PS2 so that I can play you lot. Mind you, SOCOMII will have arrived here by that time so probably won't.:D

I played some guys from across the pond on MOH: Rising Sun and thought that the servers available on the SOCOM meant that we could play US friends as well! I take it that this is not the case then?

With the new SOCOM II, who knows what they have planned.........I'm guessing more "Univereses" for players from different countries.

Are you not using SOCOM II in the US yet then? I thought that it was available over the pond! Our release date is 12th March 2004 at the moment, and hopefully if it moves, it will only move forward! Not sure how many other countries have had it released, but normally the Middle East get it before us too!

Yes ... we have had it here since November.

I believe Australia is getting it about the same time as you guys.

Hopefully the new Universe/Servers will allow us all to play together, but we will see I guess.

Just got confirmation, Socom II will be released on March 12 and will not support play with other countries :(

What kind of bullsh#t is that? It could be that they can't support the demand right now thou. Just North America alone has 34,000 people on at peak times could you imagine how many people would be on if the entire world is on?

Could you imagine what kind of corner on the market this game could have if they did that? And besides.....They are obviously going to have more than 1 "Universe". You could have a dozen "Universes" that support 100,000 people at a time (according to their capability online), and probably still have room for more! Think about it...Has anyone seen 40,000+ people on at once? it's not very often if you have. And if each "Universe" can hold 100,000 each, that'd leave plenty of room for more if you had 10 "Universes".
