A question about a class

In the mw2 guide, on rundown it has a map class and its secondary weapon is a ranger with silencer + fmj. How is it possible to have a silenced ranger?
And it cant be a accidental mistake because its in the text aswell.

not a mistake. what happens, is we get to go out to work on guides sometimes very early in the process, MW2 was about 4 months early. Things change in 4 months lol. It was just something that IW didn't catch when proofreading what we wrote.

That class IS wrong, but wasnt a mistake, you USED to be able to do that.

Silenced ranger? AWESOME! it would b very close range tho, did it have like two silencers on it or did it have one big stretched out one?

It was so long ago....I think the shotty silencers all look the same. Probably looked too wired/odd on that gun. But I am pretty sure that it was a balancing issue. That gun is cried about enough without being able to silence it.
