It was god damned brilliant. Best sci-fi movie in a LONG time.

I heard a lot of good things about this film. This was the directed by the same guy that did the Halo short (Landfall) and pitched it to the studios to win the directors job, only to have the on again off again movie shut down because of the cost.

That's the thing about district 9...

it was INSANELY cheap to make all things considered...

The movie cost $30 million or so to make, but has already pulled in $114,422,000. Good ROI on it.

And the movie IS good. It doesn't cater to stupid people, it moves right along, it LOOKS fantastic and is a straight up good sci-fi story.

It is not in theaters anymore. :(

Wish someone would have mentioned it when it was out. I really want to see this now. Have to wait for DVD.
