Wow, it seems like years since the first rumors of the Xbox getting exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV DLC and months since the game actually appeared (ok, it has been months... but I mean more months)

Finally, Microsoft has announced that the first dollop of episodic GTA action will appear on Xbox Live in the fall.

At the Leipzig Games Convention, a nice chap from Microsoft announced,

"In autumn there will be news from Liberty City; the first episodes of GTA IV will be available for download exclusively on Xbox Live"

(and then there was some guff about "underlining Xbox 360's leadership role in the field of digital entertainment." but, whatever)

So, what do we know? Well, it's nice to get confirmation that it will be several such episodes -- whether that means actual episodic gameplay in a Half Life 2 style, who can say?. Mention of Liberty City seems to throw cold water on those 'whole new city' rumors, which is a shame, but still - GTA IV DLC! Yay!

I'll be sitting at my Xbox when this comes out... probably busy playing RB2 though.

wicked, but when will the beloved ps3 get it, id be surprised if the dl remained exclusive to 360. anyways that game is old and done, i put it up for sale today on craigslist. need room on the shelf for a few new games.

Dude that game is epic, I have to play it at least twice a week or I'll start having withdrawals and gonna have to star REALLY killing civilians on the streets.

You're just jealous you have a PS3.

I agree with Chenzo, eventually it will come just as they made GTAIV for both systems it will be stupid no to bring DLC to both. More money for them.

Frost, you do know MS paid them a massive amount of dalloars to keep the DLC 360 exclusive right?

Oh, no just didn't know exactly who you were talking about. Ya know you can let him live, I'm playing the game for the second time and I think when I get to the end I'm going to see what happens if I let him live.

i only went thru it once, and i killed everyone when prompted. i guess i could go back and not kill them, then 2 or 3 of them will become random character events.

Yeah. That's what I think. It'll be exclusive for a time. (Or they'll get their own DLC.)

Awesome but I will be playing other awesome games by then. Gears 2, Resistance 2, LBP, Socom, Dead Space, Fallout3, Left 4 Dead and many more. Take that GTAIV DLC.

Nah Boss Im not bitter, I could get GTAIV for my 360 and get the DLC, but, I will have no time to play it with all the cool games coming out this year.
